Velddrif Sakekamer AGM 2023 and Awards

Velddrif Sakekamer Chamber of Commerce AGM 2023

The Velddrif Sakekamer Chamber of Commerce AGM was held on February 2nd 2023 at the Riviera Hotel. The event was successful with a full house, and we were unable to accommodate some businesses but overall was it a resounding success.

Special thanks goes out to Rick Thiart of the Riviera Hotel for hosting the event. The newly appointed Pastor of the NG Kerk Velddrif  Ds. Elize Stander opened the event following the Chairpersons report which was given by Johnny Da Silva.

Kaptein Borstelmann from the South African Police Services, introduced himself to the businesses and the community. He also shared and updated us with the crime statistics of the surrounding areas.

Johan Moolman the Ward 7 Councillor, spoke and updated us on the developments in the town, what is happening in our area and development opportunities.

Everyone was well received, the food, drinks and the people made the evening incredibly enjoyable and a great success.

The evening ended with an awards ceremony, where businesses were acknowledged for their excellent services, and individuals in their participation within the community.

In closing we would like to thank Yael Malgas from the Weslander for attending, and Lauren Pistor for taking the photographs. Everyone else that attended we thank you all.
